Key Stage 1

Our topic for this term is: Puppets.

Children will:

• join fabrics together using different methods;
• use a template to create their design
• join two fabrics together accurately;
• embellish their design using joining methods.

 

Year 3/4

Our topic for this term is: Mechanical structures- cars.

Children will:

• build a simple prototype car chassis;
• build a prototype of a sustainable slingshot car chassis;
• build a prototype of a durable slingshot chassis;
• design a mechanised toy car
• make a mechanical toy car from a kit.

 

Year 5/6

Our topic for this term is: Electrical systems, steady hand game.

Children will:

• research and analyse a range of children's toys;
• design a steady hand game;
• construct a stable base;
• assemble electronics and complete their electronic game;
