Key Stage 1

Our topic for the first half of the Summer Term is ‘We are zoologists’ and we will be inputting bug hunt data. After half term our topic is ‘We are animators’ and we will be learning to create a stop frame animation.

Key Stage 2

Year 3 and 4’s – Our topic for the first half of the Summer Term is ‘We are the robots’ and we will be building and programming lego robots. After half term our topic is ‘We are zoologists’ and we will be designing databases.

Year 5 and 6’s – Our topic for the first half of the Summer Term is ‘We are the robots’ and we will be building and programming lego robots. After half term our topic is ‘We are computer programmers’ and we will be controlling input devices.

Our other focus is to learn to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly.

Use of technology

All children in school will have access to ‘Ed Shed’ , ‘Numbots’ and ‘TT rockstars’ and will learn to use this software independently. They will also have their own log in for use at home. In school they will develop their skills using a variety of programs and apps on tablets and they will become familiar using laptops.
